Is Pure CBD Oil what you are looking for and do you want to use it in the purest form? Since CBD Oil is now legal in all 50 states within the US, the consumer is faced with trying to determine which products contain Pure CBD Oil and how is it defined?
Through extensive hours of research and my dedication in educating you, the consumer, I discovered a major controversy involving the definition of Pure CBD.
With all the different companies out there selling CBD Oil how do you know if you are getting a good product. The answer is, do your research and know exactly what you are getting. You are on the right track, that is why you are here, right?
What Is CBD Oil?
CBD Oil or Cannabidiol, is derived from the cannabis plant containing over 80 beneficial cannabinoids and may consist of one of three different species to include Sativa, Endica and Ruderalis. Each species has two different strains, described as marijuana or hemp. What is the difference? The Marijuana species contain high levels of THC up to 35%, which is the compound in the cannabis plant that will get you high. The hemp species has a low THC level of under .3% and does not have the psychoactive effects that you get with marijuana. Both species contain medicinal benefits; however, marijuana is only legal in a few states in the US and Hemp, known to the US government as industrial hemp, was legalized by the 2014 farm bill in all 50 states.
What Is Pure CBD Oil?
So is Pure CBD Oil right for you? When talking about pure CBD, I hesitate, as pure CBD is not considered an oil at all. Pure CBD is known to be a CBD crystal isolate. Yes that’s right, a white crystal compound generally looking like a white powdery substance.
This crystal Isolate is considered the purest form of cannabidiol in the world. What this means for the consumer is they are getting a non-psychotropic crystal, instead of containing the CBD plus other components of the plant coming from marijuana or hemp.
At 99% purity, the isolate is just pure CBD, not a synthetic or lab-made cannabinoid. Instead, it is and all-natural form of the product, extracted from the marijuana or hemp plant and refined down to an incredible purity. When you mention Isolate, it is just that, a product that has been isolated, removing all of the oils, plant material, waxes, chlorophyll and more, leaving behind only the cannabinoid CBD, which can then be ingested as is or taken into the body system in other forms. Is pure CBD beneficial to the consumer? Lets take a look at ways to administer pure CBD isolate.
Methods Of Administering Pure CBD Isolate
The most popular ways to use the CBD crystal isolate include:
- Dabbing
- Adding it on top of smoking products
- Dissolving it under you tongue
- Adding it to vape oil
- Using it to bake edibles
CBD crystal isolate is most popular smoked or vaporized, which may not be the best form of ingesting the product for many people. When smoke or vaporized, it tends to be stronger and the benefits can be felt immediately after inhaling. This pure substance can also be dissolved under the tongue or administered by dissolving in products like vaper oil or coconut oil to bake edible with giving the oil a nice CBD infused effect.
Dabbing – Dabbing is when you inhale a cloud of the CBD crystal isolate vaporization made by melting the concentrate. It is safer than smoking, as you are technically just inhaling the melted vapor of the pure CBD crystals.
Adding to smoking products – Another common way of administering CBD crystal isolate is by adding it on top of your smoking products to give it a boost in CBD potency. Simply put the crystals on top and light it like normal, watch the crystals melt on top and enjoy the relaxing effects.
Dissolving it under your tongue – This is one of the easiest ways and a popular way for administer the CBD crystal isolate, which is achieved by dropping the crystals under your tongue. Try to hold the isolate under your tongue for as long as possible as it dissolves before swallowing in order to maximize the amount of the substance being absorbed directly into the blood stream.
Dissolving in vape oil – You can also dissolve the isolate in a vape oil of your choice to add a nice CBD effect to it. Just add the CBD crystals to the vape oil and shake it well to dissolve the CBD.
Using CBD isolate to bake edibles – Making your own CBD infused coconut oil or butter and then using it to bake your own CBD edibles in whatever recipe you want is also a very effect way of administering the crystal isolate. All you have to do is melt your butter or coconut oil into a pot, putting it on the lowest temperature possible, and simply add your desired amount of crystals to the pot and stir until fully dissolved. Now that the crystals are dissolved in you coconut oil or butter just add to any recipe as normal for a CBD crystal-infused version.
Is Pure CBD What You Are Looking For?
Using pure CBD isolate sounds a bit cumbersome and is it really all that beneficial? Remember, when I explained that the marijuana or hemp plant contains over 80 cannabinoids? Isolating the plant to only a pure form of CBD is beneficial, as cannabidiol is a very powerful component of the marijuana or hemp plant; however, a full spectrum CBD containing all of the cannabinoids would likely be a better choice. Sorry if I just confused you, let me explain.
What Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?
Full spectrum CBD oil contains all the components of the marijuana or hemp plant, to include stalk, leaves, and flowers. Meaning, a full spectrum CBD contains the beneficial cannabidiol, just like the isolate version, along with many of the other beneficial cannabinoids creating an entourage effect and is much more beneficial to the endocannabinoid system in our bodies.
Centering our focus on the many sativa species of the plant, the main differences or strains in the species revolve around the amount of THC in the plant distinguishing and discussed previously in this article, whether it is marijuana, with up to 35%THC or hemp, with less than .3% THC. So what is best? Considering most of us live in states that only the hemp strain of the sativa plant is legal and there is no psychoactive affect, we find that the most common strain for CBD full spectrum oil is found in the sativa hemp plant, creating a full spectrum CBD hemp oil and offering all the benefits of the sativa hemp plant.
How is full spectrum CBD oil administered? Full spectrum CBD oil is and oil and for best results you administer by dropping the oil under the tongue, constituting a much easier way to consume the oil and get the most benefits you desire.
Now that we understand the difference between a pure isolate, and a full spectrum CBD, which would you prefer and what are the benefits resulting from a full spectrum CBD?
Benefits Of Full Spectrum CBD Oil
It is said and the research still coming in to the medicinal benefits claimed by using a full spectrum CBD oil. Like many all natural substances CBD is not FDA approved at this time, so no solid claims in the benefits of CBD can be stated; however, the vast majority of people using CBD today are finding valuable results while using a full spectrum CBD oil.
What benefits are people finding when using a full spectrum CBD oil:
Reduces anxiety: CBD is know to help with the social anxiety disorder, PTSD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, stress, and headaches. Studies also show it reduces the fear of public speaking and mild to moderate depression.

The cannabinoid contents has also been found to improve sleep patterns and mood, especially in those fighting insomnia. CBD has been shown to protect against Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, brain trauma, and neonatal ischemia.
Improves cardiovascular system: since CBD has the ability to soothe chronic inflammation and lower high glucose levels, it can be regarded as a strong ally in fighting cardiovascular disease and diabetes. It also reduces cardiac dysfunction and oxidative stress, reduces blood pressure and prevents arrhythmias.
Antipsychotic properties: the antipsychotic effects of CBD are similar to those seen in antipsychotic pharmacy drugs, but with no concerns, side affects, or risks for your health.

Thanks to its anti-anxiety properties, CBD also prevents emotional eating, but it may also stimulate the body’s natural fat-burning capabilities.
As you can see many people really are reaping the benefits and finding CBD full spectrum oil useful for many different medicinal concerns without the side effects of the common pharmaceuticals.
My Thoughts On Pure CBD Oil
So with continued research and trying to provide the best education for the consumer, I found that the controversy is solved by understanding what pure CBD is, and helping you to understand that the pure form due to isolation is not as beneficial as a full spectrum CBD oil.
As I have pointed out in this article, pure CBD is really only the cannabinoid CBD in an isolated form, loosing many of the beneficial factors that a full spectrum CBD oil can provide.
My pick of CBD products constitutes an organically grown full spectrum CBD hemp oil, that is C02 extracted, 3rd party tested and comes from a company that is transparent by proving all the applicable information such as CBD BioCare.

You are right of course Dena, there are lots of different CBD oil products at there on the market. It can be hard for consumers to know which are the quality products and which products are a rip off. Crystal isolate looks just like sugar – yikes you will need to keep that one away from the kids! I was wondering if there was any way for a consumer to know if they were getting a quality product or if they were getting ripped off?
Thanks Glenys for leaving a comment and you have a great question in regards to the consumer.
Crystal Isolate does look a bit like sugar in its raw state, then they take it add it too oil, food ect..
Now to answer your question about how the consumer knows what they are getting is to ask for the 3rd party testing report, that will tell the consumer exactly what is in their bottle of CBD. The company that I work with has even put a QR Code on the bottle that someone can scan and it will take you directly to the 3rd party testing report on their website. I love that CBD BioCare is so transparent in everything they do.
Great article, Dena. Very helpful and clears the air about pure CBD oil. To be honest, I didn’t know the difference before. Your post has taught me a lot. And I now know the best is still the Full Spectrum CBD oil.
Besides being easier to apply, it has more benefits. That is a no brainer. Thanks again! 🙂
Thanks Tim for leaving a comment.
Full spectrum CBD Oil is definitely the way to go as it has many added benefits the isolate does not. When companies isolate the CBD they also remove the very valuable terpenes which works with the CBD to help aid in sleep, inflammation, and pain control. I understand many times the reason for isolating the CBD is to eliminate the THC leaving only the beneficial CBD; however, why would they strip it of the other beneficial natural ingredients? This is really why it is important to understand the difference between full spectrum and isolate.
Amazing article and I enjoyed the video very much and I even shared it on my social media for my friends to watch, I hope my sharing this posts helps many people.
